RSVP now (or by Nov. 22 at the very latest) to Dave LaPointe for the MANG Holiday Party on Dec. 5th!
In this issue:
Sun. Dec. 5, 5:30 (dinner at 6:30) - Holiday Party at Atlantis (Ann
Arbor Road, East of I-275)
Tues. Dec. 7, 6:30 to 8:45 - Garmin 430 training session at the
Plymouth Library.
Dion Zammit has offered to conduct a training session for the new Garmin 430 GPS radio in the Archer. A room has been reserved at the Plymouth Library for December 7th (6:30 to 8:45). Dion will use the simulator to demonstrate the basic functions of our new radio. Come along and learn how really easy it is to use this new radio. CDs will be available for loading the simulator on your own computer, or you can download the simulator yourself from here.
The elected officers are President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer. All the current holders of the elected officers have agreed to run for another term. The election will be held at the Holiday Party on December 5th.
Spare Garmin Handheld GPS Pilot III
Because of the installation of the new Garmin 430 in the Archer, the GPS Pilot III that was in the Archer has been removed and is available for replacement of the similar GPS radios in the other two airplanes. If you have a problem with one of the old GPS radios, then ask a Maintenance Officer for the spare.
Noting the increased cost of fuel, it was decided at the last board meeting to adjust the member reimbursement rate to keep pace with those costs. It was decided that fuel purchased by a member shall be reimbursed by MANG at the lower of the actual price paid by the member and the weekday rate at the Jet Center East self-service fuel farm in effect at the end of the preceding month.
