The MANG Holiday Banquet was held on Friday, Dec. 1. About 20 members and their guests were in attendance. After the dinner, a short business meeting was held at which the following Officers were elected to serve MANG Aero Club in 2007:
Steve Thornburg - President
Kevin Grammes - Vice President
Bob Scott - Secretary
Joe McEvoy - Treasurer
We would like to take this opportunity to thank outgoing Vice President, Dino Dinatale, for his service this past year and for his being the friendly face that welcomed new members to our Club.
Contact information for all Officers is found on our homepage. The appointed Officers (maintenance, operations, safety/training) will be chosen at the first Board Meeting on January 15th. So far, all the current appointed Officers have indicated their willingness to continue to serve in the following year. Any other interested members who would like to serve in any of these capacities, please contact the Board members and make your wishes known before the January 15th meeting to be considered. The Officer Duties are listed under Club Documents on our homepage.
"Gift of Flight" Gift Certificates
Gift certificates for flying time for MANG members can be purchased from our Treasurer. If you would like to drop a little hint among your friends, relatives, or co-workers that this would be a good gift, then you can print out this flyer and leave it where they can see it. The flyer is a 1.4 Mb PDF file with a colorful holiday background, but it looks good in black and white too.
Joe McEvoy has just passed his instrument checkride and is our newest IFR-rated pilot. Congratulations, Joe!

Also available at the same link, "A Pilot's Guide to In-Flight Icing" a free course primarily intended for the general aviation pilot who flies aircraft certified for flight in icing, although much of the information is applicable to all pilots.
