MANG Sponsors MDOT Safety Seminar April 27th
Tom Krashen from Michigan Aeronautics will present a program called "IFR Refresher" on April 27th at the Plymouth Library at 6 PM. This is a MANG-sponsored event, so wear your MANG T-shirt and help publicize our Club. Also come and learn about IFR! (This event was previously announced incorrectly as being on April 23rd.)
We are down six members from our Club limit of 55, and these missing members are not paying dues. So if you know anyone that might like to join, please point them in our direction.
Don't Be Late for ID Badge Renewal
You may remember that we described how to renew your Willow Run ID badge when it expires. Well, I just heard from Josh Malik at Anglin Aviation that there is even more incentive not to be late. Apparently Willow Run will charge you an extra $10 beyond the normal $15 to renew a badge after the month in which it expires. No notices are being sent out by Willow Run, so it is up to you to see to it that your ID badge is renewed in the month of your birthday, which is when the badges should expire.
First Plane Wash of the year coming up
Our first Club Plane Wash of 2009 is coming up on May 2nd. This is a great time to meet other members and to learn more about your Club. We used to say the starting time was 9 AM. But then some people came early and had the job half done by the time others arrived at 9. So about a year ago we decided to just go ahead and call it 8 AM. But the fact is, you can come any time, even if you only come for Joe McEvoy's famous hamburgers and hotdogs at around 11 AM. If you show up at all and sign in, you will avoid the $10 fee that is charged for those who do not show up.
