The Gate is in service again (maybe)
It has been reported that the Birdcage main gate is in service again. That means you can expect to see the gate closed. It has also been reported that sometimes the gate does not open. So you can also expect to maybe have to use your padlock key to the East Gate. You still have it, don't you? There is still no word on renewing badges, so just continue to use your badge as is.
Paper Pilot Certificates expire this month
Back in the October newsletter, we reported that the FAA requires that all pilots who still have a paper certificate must apply for a plastic replacement. The paper certificates are invalid after March 31st. So if you have not upgraded your paper pilot's certifcate, it might be good to read that article again to see how you can become legal again.
With the departure of winter, it is bug season again. That means you can expect to find their squashed little bodies on the leading edges and on the windscreen. So take the time to clean these surfaces. That's what you would want done by the pilot before you, right?
