Cal Locklin was elected as President of MANG Aero Club at the MANG Holiday Party on December 2nd. Robb Butts, who has been MANG's President for over two years, in his last offical act as President presided over the short business meeting at which the election took place. Robb explained that he intends to remain a member of MANG, but upcoming job changes for him prevented him from serving for another term. We all thank Robb for his years of service on the Board and join him in wishing Cal Locklin all the best as he takes over this position. Also elected for Board positions were the incumbents, Chris Willemsen as Vice-President, Bob Scott as Secretary, and Joe McEvoy as Treasurer. The appointments for Maintenance Officers, Safety/Training Officer, and Operations Officer will be made at the first Board Meeting of the new year.
Holiday Party is great success
We had about 40 members and guests at the annual Holiday Party at Delucas Restaurant on Friday, December 2nd. We had a nice banquent room just for us.
We had a great meal, lots of good conversation, and a cake decorated especially for MANG. A raffle was conducted and the following prizes were won:
One hour of MANG flight time: Slav Inger, Bob Scott, Scott Rigstad, Larry White, Chris Willemsen, Paul Plumley, Dave Napolitano, Mario Pecchia, and Rod Lelental.
A bottle of wine bottled by Dino Dinatale was won by Bryce Grevemeyer.
Everyone else was given a candle centerpiece to take home.
